How it works
A feed that ends every few minutes.
Storyds is built around one idea: a story you start is a story you finish.
Swipe
The Read tab is a full-screen feed. Swipe up for the next story, down to go back. For you learns what you like as you read.
Read
Set in Charter at a comfortable size, with room between paragraphs. Light or dark, it reads like a good book.
Love
Tap the heart on the stories that stay with you. They’re kept in your Loved list, or share one as an image.
Write
Room for a whole story, and nothing extra.
The Write tab gives you a quiet page, a word count, and a limit that makes every sentence earn its place.
- 1,200words at most, about a six-minute read. The counter tells you how many you have left.
- 7genres to file it under, so readers find it on the Read tab.
- 1optional cover photo, and a preview of exactly how your story will look before you publish.
- 0lost drafts. Your unfinished story is saved on your phone as you type.
Genres
Whatever you’re in the mood for.
Each one is a tab across the top of the feed. Search finds stories and writers by name.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is Storyds free?
Yes. Reading and writing are free, and there are no ads.
Why the 1,200-word limit?
So every story fits in one sitting: a coffee, a commute, the minutes before sleep. It’s about a six-minute read, which is long enough for a twist and short enough to finish.
Do I need an account to read?
No. Read here, or open the app and start swiping. You’ll need an account to publish, love stories and keep them on your profile.
Who owns the stories I publish?
You do. See the Terms of Service for what publishing lets Storyds do with your story.
Can I write dark stories?
Yes, there’s a whole Dark genre. Fiction can go to hard places; what isn’t allowed is content made only to shock or hurt. The Community Guidelines explain where the line is.
Is it on Android?
Not yet. Storyds is iPhone-only for now.
Your next favorite story is six minutes long.
Storyds is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone.
