Storyds is a place to read and write short stories. This policy explains what we collect when you use the app, why, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

Account details: your email address, username and password (or the account you sign in with through Apple or Google).

What you post: the stories you publish, including titles, text, genres and cover photos.

What you do in the app: the stories you love, the writers you block, and reports you send.

Messages to us: anything you send through Report & feedback or by email.

2. What stays on your device

Your reading history (used to pick stories For you), your unfinished draft, recent searches and your profile photo are stored on your phone and are not sent to us.

3. How we use it

To run your account and show your stories to readers.

To recommend stories and keep the feed fresh.

To review reports, enforce our Community Guidelines and keep Storyds safe.

To answer your messages and tell you about important changes.

4. What we share

Stories you publish, your username and your profile photo are public to everyone using Storyds.

We use service providers to host data and sign you in (such as Supabase, Apple and Google). They only process data to provide those services to us.

We may share information when the law requires it or to protect people's safety.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads or track you across other apps.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings › Delete account, we delete your stories, loves, blocks and profile. Backups are cleared within 30 days.

6. Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete any story you published, change your username and photo, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data or ask us to correct it. Email us to do so.

7. Children

Storyds is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your data. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
